In this speech I point out the similarities between the Lost Boys and homeless children. At least the Lost Boys were lucky to have Neverland.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/IxBjxtGcd1s?rel=0\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h1>About #03 &#8211; Get to the Point<\/h1>\n<p>Every speech has a general purpose to inform, persuade, entertain, or inspire. They are not limited to just one category. In this speech project, the purpose of the speech is to make the presented ideas clear, ensuring that the beginning, body, and conclusion reinforce the purpose.<\/p>\n<h1>\u00a0<b>Specifics \u2013 <\/b><\/h1>\n<h5>Word of Day: Dragon<\/h5>\n<h5>Speech Time Limit: 5-7 Minutes<\/h5>\n<h5>Actual Speech time: 6:33<\/h5>\n<h1><\/h1>\n<h1><b>Evaluation Notes \u2013 <\/b><\/h1>\n<p>Pat liked that the speech did what it said:\u00a0 A correlation between the bad parenting and the lost boys was really made.\u00a0 By asking\u00a0a thought provoking question in the beginning, the audience was pulled to the gravity of the situation.\u00a0 Humor was well used in this speech about a serious topic.<\/p>\n<p>The places for improvements:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; My looking at the notes was distracting.\u00a0 Suggest putting the stand in front rather than the side.<br \/>\n&#8211; I should have referenced the Lost Boys specifically when talking about run-away children.\u00a0 It seemed like I &#8220;lost&#8221; them when talking about other children.<\/p>\n<h1><b>Personal Comments &#8211;<\/b><\/h1>\n<p>I really must quit writing these speeches the night before I&#8217;m scheduled to do them!\u00a0 I rely too much on my notes, I have a hard time making the right point, or having the right impact.\u00a0 Just like everyone else, there are many other things in my life that compete for time!<\/p>\n<p>I should trademark the &#8220;Peter Pan Litmus Test&#8221;!\u00a0 I think it got the message out that parents need to listen to their children &#8211; It&#8217;s not\u00a0hearing <strong>WHAT<\/strong> they say, it&#8217;s\u00a0hearing <strong>WHY<\/strong> they say what they say.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Do you have any comments, suggestions, or improvements about the speech?
