Main points need to be reinforced with content such as facts, statistics, anecdotes, examples, visual aids, stories, and illustrations.<\/p>\n<h1><b>Specifics \u2013 <\/b><\/h1>\n<h5>Word of Day: Tenacious<\/h5>\n<h5>Speech Time Limit:\u00a05-7 Minutes<\/h5>\n<h5>Actual Speech time: 7:05<\/h5>\n<h1><\/h1>\n<h1><b>Evaluation Notes \u2013 <\/b><\/h1>\n<p>The evaluator, Patti Hessling, did an outstanding job as the evaluator.\u00a0 Unfortunately, the record button did not get pressed, and therefore was not recorded.\u00a0 Here are a few points that she, and others thought I did well:<\/p>\n<h5>1. The research was done well.<\/h5>\n<h5>2. The findings of the research were presented in a way that was entertaining and easy to follow.<\/h5>\n<h5>3. Pleasant voice!<\/h5>\n<h5>4. Used the word of the day.<\/h5>\n<h5>5. Good logical flow of information.<\/h5>\n<p>Places to improve:<\/p>\n<h5>1.\u00a0 Could have used a hand out because there was a lot of details in the information provided.<\/h5>\n<h5>2. Could have used an outline to develop the &#8220;meat&#8221; of the speech.<\/h5>\n<h5>3.\u00a0 Speaking pace.\u00a0 Could change up the speed and work on the vocal variety.<\/h5>\n<h5>4.\u00a0 Practice saying words that tie the tongue: &#8220;perpetuity&#8221;<\/h5>\n<h5>5.\u00a0 Wearing a green tie would have brought a &#8220;Peter Pan&#8221; identity to the speaker.<\/h5>\n<h5>6.\u00a0 The suit was inhibiting your movements, you looked uncomfortable.<\/h5>\n<h5>7.\u00a0 Pauses were a little awkward.\u00a0 Try finishing a sentence before pausing, and make sure it has the right effect.<\/h5>\n<p>Note: all comments have been paraphrased.<\/p>\n<h1><b>Personal Comments &#8211;<\/b><\/h1>\n<p>I&#8217;ve enjoyed doing the research on this project.\u00a0 I had to do it anyway just to plan out the entire 10 speech project.\u00a0 In reviewing the video, I definately agree that I need to add more to the voice inflection, pay more attention to the way I use pauses, and be even more aware of what those hands are really saying.<\/p>\n<p>I\u00a0really appreciate the fact that someone\u00a0finds my voice pleasant to\u00a0hear.\u00a0 Like most people, I do not like hearing the sound of my own voice.\u00a0 Sometimes my children would rather not hear my voice either!\u00a0\u00a0\ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Do you have any comments, suggestions, or improvements\u00a0about the speech?
