So far, I’ve made it the District level speech contest 3 times:
District 6 International Speech Contest, April 21, 2012
“I Like Your Attitude!”
This speech demonstrates how attitudes reflect on other people whether it is positive or negative. There is a real life example of how I managed to teach an impossible student to swim when others had failed before. All I did was change her attitude about the water.
District 6 Humorous Speech Contest, October 15, 2011
“Loose the Job and Influence People”
Have you ever been interviewed for a job where the interviewer has asked some really dumb questions? This humorous speech takes an in depth look at everything you would like to say in a job interview. My friends have encouraged me to put this speech online despite the fact that this is not my best performance of this speech.
District 6 International Speech Contest, April 30, 2011
“Mondays With Mary Jo”
This is an inspirational speech about the importance of making a positive difference in people’s lives. My friend, Mary Jo, will always be remembered by her friends as someone who touched people deeply. I actually won third place winner out of 10 competitors with this speech.
